2013 Wrap Up

Another great year of Fiber and Friends! Thank you to everyone that has participated, it is because of you that the event is so successful. I have just a few wrap up comments.

First, I almost got my spinning project done, I just have one bobbin full to ply so hopefully by the time you all see me at the Destin Spin In, I will be spinning my wonderful cashmere from India.

I honestly can't believe that tomorrow we will be attending our 10th annual Fiber In. What has grown from the grumblings of spinning newsgroups about the lack of fiber activities in Florida is amazing!

I have received a couple questions so I thought I would put out a reminder notice for some of the activities we enjoy at the Fiber In.

We will be having the bake sale to benefit the Jennifer Nolletti Art Foundation. Bring baked goods!

Hotel Name Change

The hotel we have been using has broken away from the Radison franchise so you will notice a name change. Our group Coordinator is Regina Morgan: (407) 581-2070. If you experience any issues booking your room, please contact her directly. She has assured me that Florida Fiber In attendees will be pleased with the changes in the works including real Chefs in the restaurant. I told her we had some bad experiences but it is under new management and she is getting good reports on the food and...

Demo Requests

Want to learn something - request a demo.

Remember sharing is the heart of the Florida Fiber In.

Also, I need a volunteer to organize the demos. This is probably one of the funnest but takes the most time. Duties include: collecting the offers and requests, developing a poll to determine the most popular and then communicating with the demoiers to develop a schedule that works for them.

Since we are going to Ireland what is more fitting than an announcement on St Patrick's day :-) Tell your friends, we have the whole ball room again this year. Let's make this our best yet.
